Anti aging can be defined as methods to make the effect of aging slower. This method also can help humans to live longer and healthier. Anti aging is a way to allow the cells to work properly with a combination of antioxidants, nutrients, and hormones. This is able to make your skin youthful and restore the shape and muscle tone. It is able to help you to gain muscle mass and energy.

Anti aging is not only the process of preventing or reducing the effect of aging on skin, but also to rejuvenate the ENTIRE body. Lots of research has been carried on about anti aging, aiming to provide a number of effective anti aging medicines and treatments.

Anti-aging medicine generally has three goals, namely, to:

1) Improve current heath

2) Prevent the development of age-related disease

3) Improve the quality of life.

By attaining all 3 goals, aging can definitely be slowed down, and lifespan extended, including the quality of it. The problem is correctly identifying the onset of age related diseases, or symptoms, and taking the necessary action. As a result, doctors are often unable to step in and prevent serious age related ailments from occurring. According to government sponsored studies, older people are less likely to be screened for prevalent cancers, and all this is due to inadequate standards of care.

Anti-aging medicine is actually the most modern form of preventive medicine. And it’s becoming more and more focused on prevention because our present health care systems are not really focused on prevention, but more on curing. Anti-aging is at its core the ultimate in preventative medicine because it aims to prevent the deterioration and health problems that inevitably occur without the proper interventional measures in place.

Maintaining optimal levels of hormones to help in anti aging is becoming more and more important these days, as the understanding of hormonal therapy increases. A hormone that has been much researched is human growth hormone, or HGH. Besides HGH, other hormones like DHEA, and even the sex hormones, all have demonstrated an anti aging effect, but how they work is still not known. Research has also shown consistent evidence that calorie restriction reduces age-related oxidative stress upon the cells, and therefore, is of great help in anti aging as well.

Staying healthy into old age is a must, if we want to make the most out of life. But the key to successful anti aging is adopting a holistic approach with regards to anti aging, and living a life that befits an ageless body and mind.
